Flipboard / Tablet Experience

Flipboard

I had really enjoyed using this app in class. I really like how theres is lots of different material from other social networks, publishers, online sources and photo sharing sites that could all be accessed in one place and be made into one of our own magazines. It is very easy to get used to and access many different types of articles about our virtual reality experience. I was able to find out many new types of VR with different gaming systems company such as Sony with playstation VR. I believe that this is a great app for students in college because you are able to search for anything you want and be able to separate the different topics and ideas into one place of you're choice.

My Flipboard Profile

Tablet Experience

I was not in class to receive my tablet however I was able to use my girlfriends iPad. I was able to download all of these apps and be able to experience them with ease at the touch of my fingers. I believe that tablets our taking over out world today as you see them just about anywhere. I had just noticed from traveling airport to airport that many different states are using these tablets for people to track their flights, order food, search the web, and do anything they please for free. You can do anything with tablets. You can consider them portable computers with an HD resolution that you can control with you're fingers. This is just adding more and more easy access to our crazy internet world and it will only continue to improve year by year.

Pinterest

With pinterest I had always watched my mother and girlfriend use this app. They always use it for cooking ideas and outfits and other things woman may like. Now that I have began to use it i believe that this is a great app for finding out things you may had never knew and want to find out more about. You then are able to separate your different topics in different folders for you to add you're pins too. With my account i had used it to find out more information about ways to stylize and take good care of my beard and different tips i could use also with virtual reality. In order for me to find out which article i would had decided to pin to my profile was that I had to really look into the article. If the picture had brought me interest i would click on it and read the article. When I would find out things that i didn't know and brought me interest I would Pin it to either my VR folder or my Beard Care folder. Below here is a link to my pinterest profile!

VR

Virtual Reality Experience

With the virtual reality headset we were able to play with different apps and enjoy the special experience. I had brought the headset home and had some fun with my roommates by showing them some fun apps such as the roller coaster and scary girl app. They didn't think it would be all that but yet they were very scared once we turned off all the lights in the room and they put on the headset. Silent home was the app we had used and enjoyed in very much. I believe that this is a new and bigger step in our world of technology and it will only get better. Below is a brief description of Silent Home.

Hootsuite Review

With Hootsutite i really enjoyed using it and being able to have all my different social medias on 1 full page. You are easily able to manage you're tweets, look at you're Facebook posts and scroll through your Instagram feed by just simply sliding over on you're screen. I also like the fact how you are able to access the HASHTAG # very easily and be able to connect with other classmates and see what they are tweeting or posting about. I would defiantly use this new application in the near future with sorting out all my social media accounts. Below is an example of my Hootsuite dashboard.

The Downfall Parodies

History and background of the film.

Downfall (German: Der Untergang) is a 2004 German historical war film depicting the final ten days of Adolf Hitler's rule over Nazi Germany in 1945. It was based on several histories of the period. The film was directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, and written and produced by Bernd Eichinger. The film received critical acclaim upon release and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

Parodie History

In these videos, the original German audio is retained, but new subtitles are added so that Hitler and his subordinates seem to be reacting instead to some setback in present-day politics, sports, popular culture, or everyday life. Other scenes from various portions of the film have been parodied in the same manner, notably the scenes where Hitler orders Otto Günsche to find SS-Gruppenführer Hermann Fegelein, and where Hitler discusses a counterattack against advancing Soviet forces with his generals.

By 2010, there were thousands of such parodies, including many in which Hitler is incensed that people keep making Downfall parodies, and videos that depict Hitler as having a fierce rivalry with Fegelein, with the latter plotting mischief against his superior through a number of cruel and often comical antics. Hitler is also depicted as being easily angered by Jodl, who is shown to object repeatedly to whatever plans he makes. Some parodies even feature Hitler ranting against the atrocities committed by his historical counterpart.

The film's director, Oliver Hirschbiegel, spoke positively about these parodies in a 2010 interview with New York magazine, saying that many of them were funny and they were a fitting extension of the film's purpose: "The point of the film was to kick these terrible people off the throne that made them demons, making them real and their actions into reality.
